Young athletes deserve the highest quality of care. They may be young, active, and often have fewer complicated impairments as their adult counterparts. However, this does not mean that they deserve to be seen at the same time as more than one patient or by any provider other than a PT. Kids and teens have special needs that differentiate them from adults–their cognitive processing and ability to understand movement and exercise concepts often requires more attention than the average adult.
